Space is as the name suggests a space shooter, where the objective is to collect as much gas and make as much money as possible. To do this you have to beat the alien ship (or your opponent in case of a 2 player game) to the punch and get there before they do.
In between levels you can use the collected money, to buy upgrades so your ship will become faster, stronger, and equipped with shields that will make you invulnerable for a short while.
If you miss too many gas drops, your ship will run out of fuel and you will have lost the day. Each game has 99 days total in which to accumulate as much money as possible.
Space can be played against the computer or against another person. It is a challenging game, and beating the aliens to the punch is quite a task. With each level the area gets more difficult to fly around in, while your opponent, in case of a single player game, gets better.
Space is one of those games that will keep you playing for hours, but fortunately the game also comes with the option to save your game for later use. This makes the game suitable for short and long gaming periods.
